Application of new and novel technologies onto electrical networks including wave, tidal, PV, biomass and energy storage.

We are involved in a number of projects requiring the application of new and novel technologies such as wave and tidal farms, integration of large PV arrays, assessment and connection of biomass power plants and design and assessment of large scale energy storage systems. TNEI undertakes the power system analysis and electrical engineering design for these new technologies for both manufacturers as well as developers, but also provides feasibility assessment and due diligence for investors, utilities and the likes of Ofgem and DECC.

Our work typically comprises initial site selection studies through to load-flow, fault analysis and grid connection investigations, reinforcement studies, strategic power system studies, technical due diligence and development of cost models.
