TNEI has developed a phased feasibility process for wind turbine developments, which has been well received by a number of clients. The approach highlights key issues which can be investigated as a priority before progressing to the next stage of the development process. This helps to reduce abortive spend by prioritising tasks on a site specific basis.
TNEI remains fully flexible in its approach and is happy to tailor services to suit the needs of a particular client. The tasks listed below form a menu of the services which TNEI is able to offer as a part of this phased feasibility approach. Tasks may be commissioned on a package basis or on an individual basis and as need arises.
- Initial desktop site appraisal
- Initial constraints map
- Initial layout and turbine noise consideration
- Initial ecological and ornithological risk opinion
- Route to site assessment
- Site visit and appraisal
